how do your prune a privot bushand when?

My apologies for the delayed response to your question.

Cheyenne Privet is a summer flowering shrub and should be pruned or thinned in early spring before growth starts. A warm day in early to mid-March would be a good time for pruning. Below is a link to detailed information on how to prune your bush:

Also, if we continue to have dry weather, it would be a good idea to give your bush a a good drink of water (provided the ground is not frozen) every 3 weeks or so.
