beetles and roses

Asked February 2, 2013, 11:18 PM EST

Is there any thing that really works against Japanese beetles? We live in the country with lots of soybean fields. They can in swarms last year and nearly wiped out my rose bushes. Help!

Let me check on that. The problem with spraying is that they keep emerging for awhile. So you kill some when the eat the treated plants but then more keep coming. I'll see if any repellents are working well.
