To clean leather furniture use an oil based cleaner such as Murphy's Oil Soap. It works well on natural products including wood furniture and floors, and the oil acts to nourish the leather. Follow the directions as they are written for wood products. This product works only on a smooth finish leather, do not use it on suede. Begin by disolving the oil soap in a bowl of warm water. Use a cotton cloth and immerse it in the soapy solution, then squeeze it out and gently go over the leather surface with a circular motion. Use care not to soak the leather. When the surface dries, the soap will leave behind a matte finish which you hand buff with a clean dry cotton cloth.
