lawn fertilizer

Based on test results which is the best fertilizer to use. ph 7.0,nitrogen medium,phosphorus medium,potassium high. Also what about growing a lawn under douglas fir trees not much success what do I need to know.

The problem under the tree is usually shade. Use a sahde tolerant grass such as the fescues. They will not grow too well if the shade is too dense. Alternative is to cut the lower branches off to allow more sun to get in. Fertilizer to apply depend on what you are desiring for lawn color. Something like 4 lbs.s per 100o ft 2 of ESN applied now should give you a good lawn most of the summer. You can also apply 21-0-0 or any other fertilizer that you desie. A rate of 0.5 to 1 lb. N per 1000 ft2 per application is recommended. Your pH is fine, sounds like P and K are fine as well.

Worry about N and a little S.
