Boulder County Colorado lawns and turf drought horticulture

Most landscape plants, including turfgrass, will benefit from water applied during extended dry spells Nov-Apr. Turfgrass/lawn on S or W exposures is particularly prone to mite feeding damage during dry spells Nov-Apr (see image attaqched). The preventive is water. Since your automatic sprinkler system is shut down now, use a hose and sprinkler on a warm dry day.See also: http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/garden/07211.html
