Qualified native landscape service #934051

Asked June 03, 2026, 3:30 PM EDT

I’m looking for a qualified native landscape service to deal with an extremely steep hill adjoining a street ( probably a 2:1 slope) That is about 15 feet deep. Do you have a resource that I can reach out to? The landscaping services I’ve been able to locate or not well-versed in natives and seem to be fairly clueless as to how to approach this problem.

Expert Response

You can look into hiring someone with a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional certification, as they receive training in sustainable landscaping techniques. Most participants in the training likely already have a background in using native plants in landscaping and managing stormwater (which can include erosion concerns). Aside from the CBLP program, HGIC doesn't have specific suggestions or track landscaping companies since we don't recommend/endorse particular businesses or collect information about which companies offer what services.
