Grape Vine Disease #931757

Asked May 15, 2026, 12:08 AM EDT

Can you identify the grape vine disease in the attached images? Images were taken on 5/14/2026, so this is early season growth. Thank you!

Expert Response

Hard to say exactly what this is but it does not look like a disease. Possible herbicide drift (subtle) or just early season growth that can be distorted. Keep an eye on it and see if new growth settles down. For now, no action needed out of what you usually do.
You can look at this web site but the images are of direct contact with problem materials: https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-disease/grape-vitis-spp-chemical-injury

Jay,

Thanks for your time and opinion. I'll monitor it and see how and if it progresses.
