trimming a pine tree #924712

Hi there – can you offer some advice about how to trim the pine tree in the attached photo? There are two thicker/stronger branches coming off the sides of the top of the tree, with a shorter/thinner branch pointing straight up. Should I take off the two bigger branches so the tree grows straight off the middle one? Or leave one of the thicker ones? Thanks in advance for your help!
