Would like to know what is wrong with my milkweed.
I dug it out because it looked so sick.
Does this mean I can’t plant more milkweed in the same location?

Thank you for the excellent pictures. I believe you have chlorosis. Look at the fact sheets linked below for treatment ideas. No worries, you can still have milkweed! ;-))
