Curled Tomato Plant Leaves #880806

Asked August 09, 2024, 10:02 AM EDT

My tomato plants (Varieties: Bodacious, Roma, San Marzano, Cherry, Pear, Grape) have curled leaves. I have plants located both inside my high tunnel and outside in the garden, both had curled leaves. I partially amended the high tunnel tomato leaf curling by cutting back on water, adding a shade cloth when the temperatures were in the high 80s last week, and a calcium foliar spray. Now they look loads better now and are improving. However, my tomatoes in the outside garden have stayed the same. I wonder if they are staying curled because of all the rain that we have gotten this summer that it's been too much for them. I also only used Fish Emulsion fertilizer (15-0-0) three times, three weeks apart in late June, early July. I am a market gardener called Marvin's Gardens outside of Meire Grove, so I am relying on 60 tomato plants to produce quality fruit to sell. We also have heavy soil that holds moisture for long periods. Help is very appreciative, thank you!!

As yours is a commercial operation, it is not something Master Gardeners respond to.  I am referring you to a staff member of UMN for help:   Julie Weisenhorn <<personal data hidden>>
