My cat was after this bug in the bottom corner of my sliding door. I thought it was a big spider then it jumped really high out onto my patio. This is a first for us(the cat and I). What is it a cricket or a spider?

It looks like an Odiellus pictus, also known as the huntsman. It is in the daddy longlegs family of spider.
