lawn issue #880748

Asked August 08, 2024, 4:24 PM EDT

My well established lawn (Kentucky bluegrass) has some brown spots amongst the green grass. This year there is obviously no lack of rain. A neighbor suggested there could be a fungus that is attacking the grass. Or could it be lack of nitrogen due to all the rain leeching it out of the turf? Could I add fertilizer now, or should I spray with an anti-fungal? Thanks

See these web pages first and see if you can determine the cause of the spots.

Or you could send a sample to the Wisconsin lab for turf grasses. MN is not doing them at this time. There is a fee for this service.
