Hello Colton.
Thank you for your question.
Using a soil probe tool, garden spade, knife or hand trowel, take soil samples randomly throughout the area in a Z shape to create a composite sample that covers an entire garden/lawn area.
Or take individual sample if you are concentrating on a more specific garden/lawn area.
Soil samples should be collected in a clean plastic bucket or box.
Most soil analytical laboratories supply sample collection kits to their customers for use when mailing in samples.
At a minimum, the test kits should contain the sample information form and soil sample container.
Below is a link with more detailed information, tips, charts, and images.
There is also a chart of soil and plant tissue labs and types of materials tested at the bottom on the factsheet.

There do not seem to be any costs listed on the chart.
However, some labs do have pricing listed on their website links that are provided in the chart.
I hope this information is helpful.
