EAB Protection Options and Resources #880668

Asked August 08, 2024, 9:59 AM EDT

We have a big healthy Ash tree and recently received a letter from our city that while ours is healthy, there are other trees in the area that need to be removed due to EAB, and recommended we protect it. I was looking over your website on EAB and did not easily find resources or tips for how to treat an Ash tree to keep it healthy. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Expert Response

You can treat the tree yourself or hire a company to do that for you.  I'm attaching two links which provide detailed information about how to go about this, including proper timing and effective insecticides.  The treatment needs to be repeated every one to two years.  Good luck with your tree.
