Lawn spots #880620

I think somebody is vandalizing my lawn. Three spots, about 4 sq ft, appeared in the lawn this morning. The pattern is about 1 ft of green grass circled by dead grass. I tried to download pics but to big. Is there any way to analyze the grass for traces of chemicals?

It is possible to do lab testing and analysis on plants to see what types of pesticides might be in them. You can call the Colorado State Plant Diagnostic Clinic to ask what kind of test they could do for you.   Here is their website with contact information:
