We have a big pear tree that usually has lots of fruit but this year we've seen 2 pears instead of hundreds. The leaves look good, but no fruit... It gets watered regularly (on a timer, every other day)

Frost or cold weather can damage or kill the pear flower, preventing pollination and fruit set. Similarly, extreme heat or drought can also harm the tree and reduce the number of flowers that develop into fruit. Bartlett flowers are less attractive to bees than many fruits. You also need a source of pollen from another tree. Best bet this year is the erratic weather
