I’m experiencing a lack of blooms on my lilac the last few years. This year they’re brown and wilted, but it sounds like looks like that has happened to a lot of lilacs. However, I’m wondering if I have something else going on as well.

Hi Tracey,
This page has a nice summary of why lilacs don't flower. Note the most important -- they will stop blooming in shade. Also pruning time is important.
