This is what we found out about creeping thyme. Thyme needs its own soil base therfore if you have any grass/weeds in the area you willl need to get rid of that and roughen up the soil before planting seeds. Also, thyme needs sunny to partlysunny conditions, so a mossy yard may not be the right place for it. Creeping thyme spreads rather quickly so we can recommend buying some plants as starters. There are local organic seed companies in the Hudson Valley that I think you can trust.
