Dark spots/distorted apples on Honeycrisp, Honeygold, and Golden Russet trees #880315

Asked August 05, 2024, 5:24 PM EDT

Hello - I have three apple trees on my property, and the apples this year are all experiencing the same issue with dark spots and distorted shapes. I've attached several pictures - these are three different kinds of apples (Honeycrisp, Honeygold, and Golden Russet) so it seems to be impacting all the varieties somewhat equally. I also attached another photo where I cut into them so you could see the inside. I was thinking it was a bug, but when looking inside I don't see anything obvious. I'm assuming next year I will need to spray but I'm trying to nail down exactly what I'm spraying for so I do it in the right season. Do you have any thoughts based on the photos what might be impacting my trees?
