Vanilla strawberry hydrangea #880168

Asked August 04, 2024, 5:53 PM EDT

Some of the blooms on our vanilla strawberry hydrangea are so heavy it seems like the branch could snap . Is there a way to safely trim off some of the flowers to save the branch from snapping ?

Expert Response

You can trim the flowers off like you were taking them inside.  Trim back to a leaf attachment on the branch.  That will also keep you tree even.  It is beautiful!
