We grew this along with yellow straight neck, Hubbard, zucchini but this plant is about 30 feet giant leaves and a flower like I have never seen!

Are you certain that you planted it?
Or was it grown from saved seeds?
It is possible that this is kind of a "mystery squash" that is not true to type resulting from an unexpected cross-pollination the year prior.

The "mystery squash" pictured was from my garden years ago where a volunteer grew that was part gourd, part squash.
They are safe to eat but may or may not be of good quality.
