What does this look like on my maple tree! It's a sugar maple ita been in the ground for a year!

I believe that is Anthracnose.  While it is not fatal, it can be a drain on a young tree.  Sanitation is important.  Make sure to pick up and destroy all leaves as they fall, removing the spores from the area.
