Hi Frank,
Chameleon plant is a very stubborn pest plant. Aside from hand removal, which is very tedious and unpractical for larger than small areas, herbicides will kill your interspersed turfgrass. There do not appear to be any specialty herbicides to target chameleon plant without killing other vegetation. Therefore, the best strategy is to kill the entire affected area, being careful to catch any rhizomes extending beyond the apparent fringes. Essentially, kill the present lawn area and start over. Your garden center should have products for this. When using any herbicide, follow the label instructions both with respect to it killing the present vegetation and the application instructions.
