I’ve attached a photo of a volunteer growing in my in-laws’ yard in Saginaw. They asked me if I wanted to take them with me to my new house in Monroe, but I don’t want to do it if it’s a problematic species

Hello,
I identified this with my Picture-It Plant app as a Black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia). It is native to Michigan and is invasive in the U.S.
