We have an apple tree in our yard that was here when we moved here. It has very good apples for eating but it is old and will not survive much longer. Sadly, we have no idea what apple tree it is. I was told a person could send the leaf of an apple tree to the extension office and they would be able to tell you what tree it is. I'm wondering if this is really true or if you are aware of any way for us to determine what apple tree we have?
