The leaves are half off on my ornamental cherry tree. the leaves are black spots the leaves are normally dark with small berries. do i buy fungicide for the base of the tree? can it be saved . also i planted a new mar mar maple and golden maple and bark is off on the trunk of the trees. I noticed the leaves were having holes and i thought Japanese beetles. i sprayed both with neem oil. it looks like bark was chewed off . i sprayed pruning seal on the trunk where the bark is missing . i spent a lot for these trees

It is too late in the year for fungicides to do any good. If you wish to manage the disease plan on spraying next spring. Please see the information on the link for instructions about what to do.

If the bark is being chewed off your trees they need to be protected with fencing. Rabbits are usually the pest doing the damage. How much bark is removed will impact tree health. It is important to stop the damage.
Holes in the leaves could be from Japanese beetles feeding on your leaves.
