Magnolia Scale #879639

Hi! My Magnolia tree has scale and I’ve read your articles about how to treat it, but I’m still confused about how I should treat it right now based on what stage the scale is in. Please see attached photos. Thanks

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for the question.

Treating magnolia scale is all about timing.  The next window for treatment is coming up and you can use enviroweather to predict  when the egg hatch happens so you can time your treatment appropriately.  Currently the expected date is more than a week away.   Check out the following links:
