Is there a source for historical grain seeds that may have fallen out of use but are significant or should be back in use. As opposed to GMO seeds. And is there a need or use for these type of seed in the U.S or elsewhere

Yes , there are vendors and seed banks that specialize in heirloom seed. There are also seed banks worldwide that are maintain genetics materials that are historic for research and study.

If you are looking for exotics or older grains google search "heirloom grain seed"

If you are looking for more recent varieties of grain seed that are non-GMO almost all major seed providers have non-GMO available through their normal seed sale channels.
