Hi - The top of my maple tree is turning colors. Seems a bit early. Is this anything to be concerned about? I’ve already lost one maple tree earlier this summer to I may be a bit over sensitive.
Thanks!

Expert Response
Premature tree leaf fall color occurs for a number of reasons, most all of them associated with stress. Sometimes the cause is minor and the indicators temporary. However, when premature color occurs, it's advisable to determine and remedy the cause or ask a certified arborist to assess the tree's health onsite and recommend a course of action.
