I appreciate your prompt response. The unusual growth is actually in focus. The area is about 100 square feet. It seems to disappears in dry weather and reappears in wet weather. I am fairly experienced identifying lawn diseases, but have never seen this. Could you possibly share the photo with colleagues to see if anyone can identify?
