Best Time to Move/Transplant Yukon Belle Pyracantha #879512

Asked July 30, 2024, 10:35 PM EDT

Would it be okay to move a Yukon Belle Pyracantha this August or September or best to wait until sometime in the spring?

Washington County Oregon

Expert Response

Thank you for your question, Barry.  The best time to plant and transplant woody plants is in the fall, while the soil is still workable.  The plant can then establish a root system, not plagued by heat and drought.  Second best is early spring.  Good luck!
