What is the states defination of tree clear cutting - ie: what consitutes clear cutting, how many trees can be cut per acre, and what is the replant ratio to the clearing.
Also how much time do you have to replant trees within the clear cutting area.
How do you report someone that had a clear cutting and it has been more than two years - who would you contact to verify they replanted/
Thank you

The Oregon Department of Forestry is the State's regulatory authority regarding forest practices. Oregon's forest protection laws, administered through the Forest Practices Rules address your questions in detail.
The answers to your questions depend in part on the geographic region and site productivity for the location, along with other aspects such as the size of the area harvested. Rather than get too technical here, I shall refer you to "Oregon's Forest Protection Laws: An Illustrated Manual" which is a very useful guide to help understand the forest practices rules and related definitions and how they would apply in specific situations.
See the main website and table of contents for the Illustrated Manual at https://oregonforests.org/publication-library/oregons-forest-protection-laws-an-illustrated-manual-2024
Definitions regarding clearcutting start on page 18 of the Planning chapter https://site.oregonforests.org/sites/default/files/2024-04/02_IllusManual2024-Planning.pdf
Rules regarding when and how much reforestation is required are explained in https://site.oregonforests.org/sites/default/files/2024-04/08_IllusManual2024-Reforestation.pdf
Note that forest practices require a "Notification of Operations" to the Oregon Department of Forestry https://www.oregon.gov/odf/working/pages/enotification.aspx
You can contact the Oregon Department of Forestry office having jurisdiction in a given area to make inquiries or reports about specific operations. The local Stewardship Forester is a good starting point. To find yours, see: https://www.oregon.gov/odf/working/pages/findaforester.aspx
