Tomatoes turning yellow #879489

Asked July 30, 2024, 7:39 PM EDT

Why are my tomatoes not turning red? They are going from green to yellow, not red. The plants look healthy and full. No yellowing leaves or end rot, or any other signs of disease. Jim

Expert Response

That's hard to say. There are a number of tomato varieties that ripen to yellow. Do they test good and do they feel ripe?

It is still early for the large  tomatoes to be ripening. They need hot days and cool nights to ripen so we are just getting into that part of summer.
