Despite frequent rains in recent weeks, sections of my lawn are turning yellow. They're getting sunshine and water. I'm wondering what's causing the yellowing. Thanks!

Hi Monica,
The yellowing area in the second photo appears to be different from the rest of the lawn. It looks longer, as if you haven't cut it.
Have you fertilized this year or sprayed anything in the yard? Is the soil heavy there? Is there ever standing water, or excessive wetness?
