Cucumber leaves yellowing with brown spots #879397
Asked July 30, 2024, 11:29 AM EDT
Good morning-
I have noticed that my cucumber leaves have started to yellow a bit, and there are brown spots on a number of leaves. As far as I can tell, I don't see any eggs or insects on the back of the leaves. They've been producing cucumbers and new leaves and cucumbers are continue to grow. I couldn't tell if it was powdery mildew starting and I read you could use a spray of water with baking soda and a little Castile soap which I tried this morning. They are planted in an established garden which was amended with homemade compost as well as raised bed soil in early May. I've been cutting off the yellowing leaves near the bottom of the plant and any old leaves in order to give the plants circulation. There are eight plants in a row 4 1/2 feet long and they are growing up an angled trellis. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated! Thank you, Melissa.
