cucumbers not fruiting #879272

Asked July 29, 2024, 3:03 PM EDT

I planted Beit Alpha variety cucumbers for the first time this year in late June. I have lots of vine and flowers but NO cucumbers. I can see the pollinator's going in the flowers. Any suggestions as to why no cucumbers and what I can do to remedy this? Thanks

Here is the UnMD page on cucumbers.

Since you planted late and we have had a hot drought, two of us think that your flowers are all male so just wait for the female flowers to appear. Look at the base of the flower. Female cucumber flowers usually have tiny cucumber fruits forming at the base, whereas male flowers don’t. Instead, male flowers have a small stem that connects to the stalk.

Good luck
