What’s this moth? #879148

I think I remember an article from about a year ago about this moth being a bad guy new to our area and on the MSU radar for tracking, but I don’t remember what it was or know if it is still being watched. I would like it know more information please and thank you!

This is a beautiful photo! Unfortunately, it is of a spongy moth laying an egg mass. You don't need to report this insect, since it's been established as an invasive species for years. However, you should scrape this egg mass off of the tree to prevent them from developing into caterpillars in the coming season.
