I have a continuing problem with rabbits eating my perennials, to the extent that I lose them completely. Are there any methods or chemicals that can help me with this?

For the rabbits, like the grasshoppers, exclusion is the first thing to focus on. With newly planted perennials, consider using wire to create a cage or even a tomato cage can work well.
You can try repellents, understanding they will need to be reapplied after a rain or irrigation event. There is some evidence and research that using Milorganite fertilizer can repel rabbits. You will want to apply 15-20 pounds/1000 square feet and water it in after application. It can be used in landscape beds and on the lawn.
