Hello - Wondering what is going on with a few of my coneflower plants. I've read that this can be due to excessive heat or disease. Should I remove the plants that are growing like this? Thanks, you all are wonderful! Sandy

Hello Sandy,
These symptoms appear to be classic Aster Yellows indications. As a virus-like disease, it unfortunately is not curable or treatable, and infected plants should be removed. It's not feasible to prevent the insect that vectors the disease, a certain species of leafhopper, from transmitting it, but you could replant and a new Coneflower wouldn't necessarily be doomed to infection.
