Thanks for reaching out to the UNH Extension Infoline. Just seeing the squash at this stage makes it really hard to tell the specific variety. It definitely looks like an acorn squash which typically take 80-100 days to mature. These types of squash are ready to pick when their color turns to a dark color and their rind is hard. Pick them before the first frost, although they are often hardy enough to withstand a light frost.
