Roses this season #878816

Asked July 25, 2024, 9:08 PM EDT

We have about ten rose bushes. They are the looser kind of rose, not the tightly wound blooms. The bushes have been for six years. This is the first year we’ve seen them suffer. We’ve treated them for insects, and that helped. But there are very few blooms compared to other years, and the bushes are short. We have seen other roses in our community (Timnath Ranch) and they all seem to be in bad shape. Is it the heat this summer, or something else that could be causing such poor performance on these otherwise beautiful flowers? Thank you for any input.

Expert Response

Hi Ginny,

It certainly could be the heat or various other things. How are the roses being irrigated?

Can you send photos or describe in more detail about what the roses look like and your concerns?
