Last year our fall fiestas started looking a little thin. One did not make it- they are roughly 17-20 years old. This year 2 more are thin and now are dropping leaves.

WIthout more information, I cannot tell you what is wrong. It is possible your trees were planted too deep and now are dying because of stem girdling roots. Your trees should have a definite flair at the base. They should not be straight up and down like a pole.
