Hi There,
A number of my trees seem to have chlorosis (an ornimental cherry, catalpa, oaks and more).
What would be the process for determining the deficiency and making a plan to help my trees (25 of them!) get more nutients from my crappy clay soil?
Thanks!!

Expert Response
Good afternoon and thank you for reaching out. It would be really helpful if you could attach a few photos of the trees to this message. Would that be possible? Photos really help our experts respond with solid recommendations.
Hi Emmy -
I think that the best plan of action to begin is to take soil samples and send them to the MSU extension to be tested. Here are some instructions: https://homesoiltest.msu.edu/get-started/
I am also including a link about what to do if your soil is lacking nutrients: https://extension.usu.edu/forestry/trees-cities-towns/tree-care/preventing-iron-chlorosis
I hope this helps.
