Autumn Blaze Maple red in summer #878668

Why is my autumn blaze maple red in July. Other shrubs (nine bark)in our yard, that are not close to the tree are also turning red/yellow now.

There is reason for concern. Early leaf color change can be a sign of stress:

Some possible stressors:  drought, improper drainage, mechanical damage to the trunk, animal damage, soil compaction, insect predation, stem-girdling roots, and so forth.
