These will mature into the native butterfly called the Eastern Black Swallowtail. They will not usually kill plants they feed on, though on vegetable or herb crops, might reduce the harvest given how much several caterpillars can eat. If you need to move them, they can eat other plants in the carrot family (Apiaceae) and rue/citrus (Rutaceae) families, both native and non-native.
