We had to remove trumpet vine so we dug them out but now suckers keep showing up in several places in the yard. We keep digging them out but I'm wondering if there is another way to get rid of them. We dug as much root as we could at the time of removal but I know there are many more roots underground that we cannot get without digging up our whole back yard. Any other ideas would be helpful or let us know if we need to just keep digging. Thank you so much in advance for any help!

Hi Chloe,
Trumpet vine can be persistent. Cut the suckers off at or just below ground level and immediately spray the cut root end with a product like Brush-B-Gone or glyphosate (commonly sold as Roundup). Roots will absorb the herbicide if the wound is fresh.
Be careful if the area is surrounded by grass or other desirable plants. Set the nozzle on a direct spray setting to zap only the root.
You may have to do this repeatedly as suckers emerge, but it should kill the plants.
Good luck.
