What to buy and where to buy insecticide to save ash trees in yard. Can it be put on immediately? Something a property owner can do. Can it be put on immediately or does it have to be fall or spring? The neighbor behind me just had a tree taken down with it. What makes them migrate to another tree? Thanks for a reply.

Your ash are at high risk of Emerald Ash Borer.
There is a drug that gets injected into trees every two years. It cannot save a tree that is heavily infected.
Measure the distance in inches around the trunk at 4.5 feet above the ground and divide it by three to get the diameter at breast height (DBH). If that number It cannot be used by a home owner if the tree is smaller than 15, you might be able to learn how to administer the drug.

There are laws on how to dispose of wood from infected trees.
You should ask an arborist to assess your ash not only for the presence of disease but also for the structural integrity of the tree. https://extension.umn.edu/planting-and-growing-guides/how-hire-tree-care-professional
