Sad tree #878527

Howdy! Not sure if my tree is diseased, hurt, crippled, etc., and hoping to get at least a starting point to begin my rabbit hole-Google sleuthing. The central leader branch in the middle of the tree looks dead and not sure what to do about it. Any tips, ideas, directions for further research? Thanks!!!!

Hi Jonathan,

The leader is dead and needs to be removed. It’s a hazard and could fall in the street or on the sidewalk.

Because it’s in the boulevard the tree belongs to the city and they should take care of this. Contact your city about this now.

If for some reason the tree is yours, call a tree company. They’d be able to remove this branch.
