I'm sorry about your presumed failure. There are a dozen reasons why your garden did not thrive: improper soil preparation, incorrect or lack of fertilizer, poor choices of which vegetables to grow ( for example, asparagus does not usually produce well here), too much or too little water, pests and /or disease; and so forth. Choose  some good examples of which plants did not grow to your expectations and what did you notice was lacking in them.
