Milkweed problem #878460
Asked July 23, 2024, 3:54 PM EDT
Attached are two pictures of my milkweed plant. Is it in the wrong location, insect problem, poor soil? It gets some sun but as it is at the edge of a tree canopy perhaps it is not enough sun. If it needs moved, when is the best time to move? Many thanks.

We think that perhaps you have spider mites that have fed under the leaves. Here is our page on them:

The new growth looks promising but we are not sure the plant will flower.
Does that area get full sun? If not, we'd suggest planting it in a sunnier location, which you could do now if you can keep it watered.
